i want to tell you, no matter who you are. I'm the extra people of Sumolah The Movie, and i'm limkokwing student too. I really enjoy about the shooting. this is the 1st time, i met a lot of people, who working in FTV. But, when i arrive in Limkokwing, why always wasting time?? It's so boring. Please, do not wasting time anymore. So, i hope, on monday, august 14 2006, the movie will be shooting on time. thx

I am one Malaysia student that currently practicing sumo in Japan Aichi. In this movie. A sumo wrestler not suppose to wear a clothes on. By International Sumo rules and regulation for men not suppose to wear clothes on. But for tight pents is acceptable. Except for Shin-Sumo, Shin-Suma that's only allower to wear a tight shirt on. For this movie of Sumolah will effect the image of the International image of rules and regulation.

to answer your question - the photos here show the rehearsal before the film cameras began rolling. as the "sumo dohyo" set was freezing cold, our actors kept their t-shirts on for the rehearsal.
bear in mind that our director and team has taken every care to try to follow closely the International Sumo rules and regulations as much as they could. the actors and Afdlin himself went through Sumo training under the Malaysian Sumo Association, and went to Fukuoka Japan for the same. (this has been blogged)
However, as for the pants you will see in the movie - this is mainly due cause to Malaysian film censorship purposes that the title actors are more decent than the professional sumo rikishi.
